The teachings of Jesus are practical. They relate to everyday living. If a person wants to live right and make good decisions, he or she must know the Word of God. John 8:32 says, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." Our duty is to learn the truth, proclaim it, contend for it and live it. That is all you need to do. When God's Word is proclaimed, "It shall accomplish" [Isaiah 55:11]. We don;'t have to alter, amplify or add to it. But the process of learning before proclaiming can be painful.
