Whispering Hope

  • {Here is a sweet little words of encouragement but a true story:- A whispering discussion between a dynamic man of God and the Holy Spirit;} One day I had to preach in a chapel service. I owned only two shirts - and both had gaping holes in the back. So I took a pair of scissors and cut the back out of one. I had only the front portion, which I wore with a tie. I borrowed a jacket from one of my friends. Even my trousers were patched. I put cardboard in my shoes to fill the holes in the soles.

I felt sorry for myself. "Lord," I prayed, "I am your servant. Here I am wearing a shirt without a back and a borrowed coat."

But the Lord spoke to me. "Are you going to be My man because you have clothes, money and fame? Or, are you going to serve Me because I am everything to you?"

I felt the Holy Spirit's conviction. "Yes, Lord," I said, "You are God."

It was a moment of personal brokenness, but out of it I stepped up to preach with a fresh anointing. The power of God was evident in my voice. I began to prophesy and proclaim that God would do great and mighty things. I told the people there God was going to take me around the world and thousands of rupees would pass through my hands for the work of God.

    Isn't it amazing friends.
